Gloss by Waldemar Kolbusz looks at surfaces that dazzle and conceal. Kolbusz’s new paintings explore shine, status and illusion, where pools and abstractions shift between attraction and disguise. The exhibition reflects on how we linger on what is bright and immediate, even as meaning continues to slip beneath the surface.
Presented at the new Segwood Galleries in Adelaide, with a Perth preview at KolbuszSpace, Gloss introduces Kolbusz’s latest body of work. Based in Boorloo / Perth, Kolbusz has been painting full time and exhibiting for over two decades. His works have been commissioned for major projects and are held in collections nationally and internationally.
