Matthew McAlpine is an emerging, interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Whadjuk Nyoongar Boodja (Perth, Western Australia).
His practice aims to explore the complexities and problems of celebrating colonial history and legacies which whitewash history, deny Indigenous culture and rapidly degrade the environment.
McAlpine graduated from Curtin University in 2016 and was awarded a residency at ECU culminating in a show held at Spectrum Gallery Space in 2021.
